CODA manages large-scale
programmes on behalf of agencies who are looking
to outsource the co-ordination; delivery and
monitoring aspects of programmes. Managing these
aspects well is key to the successful
implementation of major programmes of work.
CODA’s approach can deliver the following
benefits to agencies:
- a comprehensive and complete programme;
- a regular informed view of project status;
- a well co-ordinated project;
- a real-time watchdog on progress and issues;
- the generation of project visibility and
predictability;
- programme financial planning;
- an infinitely variable set of processes,
adapting to the needs at the time,
- the promotion of a coordinated set of
standards, methods and procedures.
Examples of four of the programmes that CODA
currently manages on behalf of agencies are:

• The Dynamo
Education Project – CODA managed an exciting pan
Wales programme management contract on behalf of
the Welsh Assembly Government to promote
entrepreneurial skills in the curriculum as part
of the Youth Enterprise Strategy (YES) for
Wales. The Welsh Assembly Government developed interactive teaching materials for use
in schools, to encourage children and young
people to use their imagination and to develop
the skills required to be successful in their
lives, whatever they choose to do.
CODA, in conjunction with the University of Wales
Institute Cardiff and the University of Wales
Bangor, delivered continuing professional
development workshops in the use of the
materials through the medium of English and
Welsh from 2005 to 2007. Over
1500 teachers were trained from the primary and
secondary education sector.
CODA ensured the training programme
reached an unprecedented 50% of all primary
schools and 75% of all secondary schools in
Wales.
